Opal Release Party-1/4/13

I think I gave myself enough time to soak in all the greatness that took place on my birthday and now it is time to chat about it!

Many people in the blogging world know that Jennifer L Armentrout were having a release party for Opal- book #3 in the Lux series and they hosted this HUGE contest where we could vote for the city it would be held in. YOU KNOW I WAS ALLLLL OVER THAT WHEN I FOUND OUT!! And guess what??? Houston won of course :) I was super stoked when I got the news and started making plans for the three hour trip. My twin sis and I made it to Houston safely in the rain and all, we arrived just an hour before the event. Okay on to the exciting stuff. 

So the event started off by JLA running a little late which I really didn't notice because I was too busy chatting with other fellow bloggers and a friend I met off Twitter! It is always really cool to meet cool people off the internet and we hit it up until JLA and Pepe walked in like SUPERSTARS and the event started. JLA was presented with Dec. 15th being JLA day!!! It was so exciting and as you can see she was pretty thrilled about it. after that we get straight into an excerpt being read by JLA and right into the Q&A......I was standing up in the back so it was a little hard for me to hear maybe or I maybe I just zoned out to take stalker photos of Pepe-don't judge me!! HE IS FRICKIN HOTT!!!!! He is the definition of gods creation lol I mean just look at him! 

   Yes he is a beauty *drools*....Anyway, before the event they passed out tickets for the first 100 people and if you got a ticket you won a free copy of opal!!! Yes, I got one and I got it signed by Pepe who is the sweetest guy!! So soft spoken and so cute when he talked about Sztella :) I was so shy to meet the both of them and they found out it was my sis and I birthday they were so sweet to wish us happy birthday and took a pic with us!! After the signing we were given tickets for every book you bought(I bought alot) and they drew tickets for prizes inspired by the Lux series and I won twice!!!!! I won the Obsidian necklace that Daemon gave to Katy in the book and I was stoked because that is what I wanted :) I also won a phone keychain that is too cute. After the event was over I stuck around to chat with the other bloggers and all the bloggers ended up getting a extra copy of Opal which was even more awesome!

                                               PARTY TIME 

At around 11:45 everyone that wanted to attend met up at a restaurant for drinks and food. I have to say this was the best part of the day because we got to spend more time with JLA and Pepe and they both just made everyone feel special. I also got to meet some awesome bloggers likeTrini from 'A book lovers Review' and Yara from 'Once upon a Twilight" and Misty from 'Kindle Obsessed' they were all hilarious and really gave me some tips and pointers on blogging and certain events which was so cool. Pepe made his own personal birthday card on the back of the menu and he held it up!!!! *dies* it was the sweetest thing and it totally tops off every birthday I have ever had!!!!!! I had too much fun and will never forget this bday and want to thank JLA, Pepe and everyone that helped put this event together THANK YOU!!!! Here is what I racked up from the event...
